Woman kills 3-year-old daughter to marry her lover

In a shocking incident, a woman brutally murdered her 3-year-old daughter to marry her lover, it emerged on Wednesday.

According to Indian media, the incident occurred in the Muzaffarpur area of Bihar state.

The suspect, identified as Kajal, was having an extramarital affair and wanted to start a new life with her boyfriend, but he refused to accept her child.

According to Indian police, Kajal and her husband Manoj had a 3-year-old daughter, but the suspect's lover did not want to take the child along.

Influenced by the TV show "Crime Patrol," Kajal cut her daughter's throat, locked her body in a suitcase, and threw it in the bushes.

She then left her home, telling her husband she was visiting her aunt, the law enforcers added.

Manoj lodged a complaint with the police, who searched the house with a forensic team and found traces of blood on the floor, ceiling, and basin.

Kajal's phone was traced to her boyfriend's house, where she was arrested by the police. 

In police custody, Kajal confessed to the crime, saying she wanted to tie the knot with her lover.

She also confessed that she took the extreme step by drawing the idea from a popular crime TV program.
