Amid the growing trend of capturing spiritual moments through photos and videos at the Two Holy Mosques, worshippers have been urged to refrain from using their phones during supplications and to focus on their prayers instead.
Inside the Haramain, a platform known for sharing updates from Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi, issued a public service message on X, reminding visitors to prioritise worship over digital distractions.
"As you experience these sacred moments, we kindly ask you to put your phone away during worship. Let your heart capture the moment instead," the post read.

The message also emphasised respecting privacy, stating, "Filming or photographing women is strictly prohibited under any circumstances."
The platform underscored the importance of preserving the sanctity of the holy sites and ensuring that worshippers are not disturbed by unnecessary photography or videography.
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah previously urged visitors to be mindful when taking pictures or recording videos, advising them to avoid causing disruptions within the sacred spaces.
