A rare medical case in India has left both the public and medical professionals astonished after a woman reportedly gave birth to four children over the course of five days.
The unusual case was reported from Moradabad in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, where a woman named Amina delivered her children in two separate phases.
According to reports, the first baby was born on 9 May, while the remaining three were delivered on 14 May. The newborns include two boys and two girls.
Doctors said the entire pregnancy was classified as high-risk from the outset, yet the delivery process unfolded in an uncommon staggered manner over several days.
Hospital sources confirmed that all four deliveries were conducted naturally, a rare occurrence in such cases where caesarean section is typically preferred.
Medical staff overseeing the case, led by Dr Shubhra Agarwal, described it as an extraordinary event in the hospital’s history, noting that it was highly unusual for quadruplets to be delivered naturally and in separate phases within such a short span.
The mother and all four newborns are currently under medical supervision and are reported to be in a stable condition, although they remain under close observation as a precaution.
The case has also sparked widespread attention on social media, where users expressed surprise and admiration, with many calling it a “miracle of nature” and praising both the mother’s resilience and the medical team’s efforts.
