Gold prices in Pakistan dropped further on Saturday, mirroring a downward trend in the international market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs2,300 per tola, bringing it to Rs342,200.
The price of 10 grams of gold also registered a drop of Rs1,972, settling at Rs293,381.
This decline follows Friday's drop of Rs1,300 per tola, when gold was priced at Rs344,500.
Globally, the price of gold also saw a decrease.
The international rate stood at $3,263 per ounce, with a premium of $20, reflecting a $13 dip over the previous day, according to APGJSA data.
Silver prices in the local market remained unchanged, holding steady at Rs3,427 per tola.
The continued decline in gold prices is being attributed to corrections in international trading and fluctuating investor sentiment.
