Gold hits new high in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold prices surged sharply on Saturday, reaching a new all-time high in both international and local bullion markets.

In the global market, the price of gold per ounce rose by $21, pushing it to $4,016.

Following the international uptrend, the price of 24-carat gold per tola in Pakistan increased by Rs2,100, bringing it to a record Rs422,700.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs1,800, reaching Rs362,397 in the local market.
