Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward trend on Friday, mirroring declines in the international bullion market.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs1,300 to settle at Rs344,500. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs1,114, reaching Rs295,353.

This follows a larger drop on Wednesday when gold per tola fell by Rs3,400. Markets remained closed on Thursday due to the Labour Day public holiday.

On the global front, the price of gold dropped by $13 to $3,263 per ounce, including a $20 premium.

Meanwhile, silver prices in Pakistan remained unchanged, with 24-karat silver priced at Rs3,427 per tola.
