Gold prices in Pakistan hit record Rs384,000 per tola

Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trajectory on Monday, reaching new all-time highs in line with gains in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola rose by Rs6,100 during the day, settling at Rs384,000 in the local market. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs5,230, closing at Rs329,219.
On Friday, gold had already touched a record of Rs377,900 per tola after gaining Rs1,200.
The international market also saw a surge, with gold prices climbing to $3,613 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a gain of $61. Meanwhile, silver prices in the domestic market advanced by Rs23, reaching Rs4,338 per tola.
Globally, spot gold hovered near its record highs, trading at $3,583.41 per ounce as of 0454 GMT. Bullion had reached an all-time peak of $3,599.89 on Friday.
