Gold prices plunge by over Rs10,000 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a significant drop on Monday, mirroring a sharp decline in the international market.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola decreased by Rs10,400 to settle at Rs340,500. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs8,917, reaching Rs291,923.

The downward trend follows a smaller decline observed last Friday, when the per tola price had dropped by Rs1,800 to Rs350,900.

On the global front, the international gold rate fell by $104 to $3,221 per ounce, inclusive of a $20 premium.

Silver prices also dipped, with the per tola rate falling by Rs17 to Rs3,400.
