Gold prices plunge in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan saw a substantial decline on Thursday, following trends in the global bullion market.
The international gold price fell by $26, reducing the rate of one ounce to $2,621.
In local markets, the price of 24-carat gold per tola dropped by Rs2,100, settling at Rs273,300, while the price for 10 grams of gold declined by Rs2,229, reaching Rs234,311.
Meanwhile, silver prices registered an increase, with the rate of silver per tola rising by Rs50 to Rs3,350. The price for 10 grams of silver climbed by Rs42.87, reaching Rs2,872.08.
This comes after gold prices in Pakistan rose on Wednesday, recording a single-day increase of Rs1,000 per tola, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.
