Gold scales new peak of Rs281,800 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trajectory on Saturday in line with the global market trend.
The price of gold per tola increased by Rs900 to Rs281,800, setting a new record high in Pakistan.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 10-gram gold rose by Rs772 to Rs241,598.
Meanwhile, silver prices gained Rs50 to settle at Rs3,150 per tola.
Globally, gold prices rose by $9 to $2,721 per ounce.
Experts attribute the ongoing rally in gold prices to escalating tensions in the Middle East.
"The current gold price surge is primarily driven by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East," said an industry expert.
