Lahore is poised to launch its inaugural floating restaurant, a distinctive project revealed by the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA).
The restaurant will be located near Harbanspura along the canal and is anticipated to attract significant interest from both residents and visitors.
With a projected budget of Rs 350 million, the establishment will feature a range of amenities, such as seating areas, children's play zones, and recreational facilities, ensuring a unique dining experience.
The PHA has confirmed that three companies have been pre-qualified for the construction, and the project is expected to reach completion in the near future.
In related developments, Punjab Transport Minister Bilal Akbar has launched the "Pink Buses," which will serve exclusively female passengers across 16 routes in Lahore.
The initiative is part of a larger strategy to introduce a total of 300 buses throughout the city, aimed at improving transportation options for women.
Furthermore, Akbar has announced intentions to extend the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system to additional cities, including Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Multan, with plans for 5,000 to 6,000 buses designated for each divisional headquarters.
