Petrol price expected to drop in latest review

Pakistanis can expect a significant drop in petroleum prices starting February 16, as the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has proposed reductions in petrol, high-speed diesel, kerosene oil, and light diesel prices.

Expected new prices

Petrol: Rs254.64 to Rs252.15 per liter (Rs2.49 decrease)

High-Speed Diesel: Rs267.85 to Rs258.84 per liter (Rs9.11 decrease)

Kerosene Oil: Rs3.45 decrease per liter

Light Diesel: Rs5.60 decrease per liter

The price cuts are attributed to the decrease in global crude oil prices. If approved by the federal government, these new prices will be effective for the next 15 days.

This development comes after the government announced a price hike for high-speed diesel and petrol starting from February 1.
