Pakistan has achieved a historic milestone by successfully performing its first international tele-surgery.

The country’s first international robotic tele-surgery was successfully carried out at Lyari General Hospital.

The formal inauguration of robotic tele-surgery in Pakistan was held at the hospital, marking a major advancement in the national healthcare system.

Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho inaugurated the first robotic tele-surgery.

The procedure was conducted live with international collaboration between Karachi, Kuwait and Shanghai, using advanced robotic medical technology.

Officials said the successful completion of the surgery reflects a significant achievement for Pakistan’s medical sector and its integration with modern global healthcare technologies.

With this development, Lyari General Hospital has become the first government hospital in Pakistan to perform robotic tele-surgery.

A large number of doctors, paramedical staff and medical professionals attended the inauguration ceremony. The initiative has been described as a major breakthrough for Pakistan’s healthcare sector.
