In an unexpected turn of events, a woman gave birth to twin girls in a rickshaw outside the emergency department of Lahore General Hospital.

The incident unfolded when the hospital's security supervisor noticed the woman in distress and promptly alerted the medical staff. Doctors and nurses quickly responded, providing immediate assistance and ensuring the safe delivery of the twins.

According to the Director of Emergency at Lahore General Hospital, both the mother and her newborn twin girls are in good health. The swift action of the hospital staff played a crucial role in the successful delivery under such unusual circumstances.

This incident comes on the heels of another remarkable birth story in Punjab. Earlier, a woman gave birth to quadruplets at a private medical facility in Sargodha.

The mother, the wife of a laborer named Irfan, delivered the quadruplets—two boys and two girls—after six years of marriage.

While the mother was reported to be in good health, the newborns required intensive care due to their low birth weight. Tragically, hospital sources confirmed that two of the four babies did not survive, while the other two are in stable condition and responding well to medical care.

These events highlight both the challenges and the resilience involved in emergency childbirth situations. The healthcare professionals in both Lahore and Sargodha demonstrated commendable dedication and expertise in handling these high-stress scenarios, ensuring the best possible outcomes for the mothers and their children.
