Sindh government spokesperson Nadir Gabol, son of PPP leader Nabeel Gabol, reacted strongly to the Indian film Dhurandhar:

“Dhurandhar is very far from reality. Every resident of Lyari hates India, and that hatred has only increased after this film. The truth was not shown. It is obvious that enemies will always act in this way,” he added.

He criticised the film for misrepresenting both his community and Pakistani history, saying, “This film distorts facts and portrays Lyari and its people in a completely false light. It is a blatant attempt to spread negativity.”

He also defended his father, stating, “My father, Nabeel Gabol, never ran away from a situation. He has always served the masses.”

“My family is from old Karachi and belongs to a long-standing political background,” Nadir said.

Nadir accused the film of attempting to malign the PPP: “They tried to portray the party negatively. Even Benazir Bhutto Shaheed was implicated, and PPP lawyers have filed a case over it. There has been no legal outcome yet.”

He further criticised the film’s portrayal of culture: “Balochi culture has been misrepresented. No research was done. Even for imitation, intelligence is required. That song isn’t even Balochi—it’s Arabic.”

"Which Baloch wears half-seleves shalwar kameez? Our culture is different, and our dressing is different." Gabol questioned.
