'Humaria Asghar messaged her brother hours before her death'

Journalist Iqrar-ul-Hasan revealed fresh details in the ongoing investigation into the mysterious death of model and actress Humaira Asghar, whose decomposed body was discovered in her flat in Karachi. 

The incident had sent shockwaves across the country when it came to light on July 8, 2025.

According to Iqrar, Humaira had messaged ten people, including her brother, just hours before her death on October 7, 2024. Shockingly, none of them responded to her messages or attempted to contact her afterward.

Iqrar-ul-Hasan also noted that in the nine months since her death, neither her brother nor any of her friends made efforts to inquire into her wellbeing.

He further disclosed that an empty cigarette packet and a cigarette filter were found at her flat. However, he clarified that Humaira was not known to use drugs.

According to Iqrar, Humaira had done her laundry on the day of her death, a detail corroborated by the police. This suggests she was active and well just hours before her mysterious passing.

"She had soaked her clothes in a tub and was about to wash them when she allegedly fell to the ground and died," a scenario that raises questions about the sudden nature of her death.

Iqrar also mentioned that Humaira's gym instructor stated she was completely fine and regularly worked out for three hours with no known health issues.

“This doesn’t appear to be a natural death. The case has become more complicated, and there’s definitely something unusual that must be investigated thoroughly,” Iqrar stated.
