"I will never work in a drama penned by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar:" Mariyam Nafees

Actor Mariyam Nafees firmly declined the possibility of working in a drama penned by the renowned writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, citing disagreement with his view on several issues.

During a recent appearance on a private TV show, the host asked if she would consider a play written by Khalil-ur-Rehman, Nafees said, "I will never work in any drama written by him."

When asked about her reasons for refusing to work with Khalil, the 'Tubelite' actor maintained that she strongly objects to certain controversial statements he has made. 

These statements, she explained, do not align with her own approach to several important issues.

She clarified that she does not view Khalil-ur-Rehman negatively, but their differing viewpoints are what led to her decision.

Mariyam further elaborated, saying, “I have no disagreement with Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar personally, nor do I consider him a bad person. I do not consider anyone bad. Some of his views are not compatible with mine.”
