Renowned actor Ali Safina expressed his disappointment with Pakistanis, who constantly speak negatively about their country and engage in excessive criticism.

Ali Safina recently appeared on a podcast where he candidly shared insights about his life and his transition from engineering to the entertainment industry.

He revealed that he was raised in Oman and went to university in Scotland to study engineering. However, he decided to move to Pakistan “out of love for his country.”

When asked about the one thing he would never do in his life, the Suno Chanda actor said, “I will never speak negatively about Pakistan. It has become a trend to speak ill of one's own country. We keep downplaying our own people.”

Ali questioned, “Why people have fostered so much anger among themselves and do not spare anyone from criticism.”

"We constantly talk about the establishment, politics, cricketers, artists. Come on! Give us a break," he added.

The Fairy Tale actor furthered on, "We are deteriorating as humans. Why are our people against everything? For example, when we sent our first satellite to the moon, people were even criticising that.”

During the program, Safina was asked if he supports the idea that actors and actresses should receive equal pay.

In response, Ali opined, “Actresses should be given equal pay because they put in so much effort but men work harder.”

Safina maintained that he “supports substantial pay for supporting cast along with the lead actors.”

He suggested that TV channels should start paying royalties to actors for their work, as their dramas are also being released online and generate revenue.
