Controversial playwright Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar opened up about his second marriage to Rozina, the ex-wife of actor Faysal Quraishi. He clarified that Rozina and Faysal's separation was due to their own differences and not because of him.

It is worth mentioning that Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has been married twice, first to his cousin Ruby Naz in 1985, and then in 2000, to Rozina, Faysal Quraishi's former wife.

During a recent podcast appearance, Khalil discussed his second marriage for the first time.

Host Irshad Bhatti asked him whether the storyline of the popular drama serial Mere Paas Tum Ho was inspired by his real life.

“While you were making a drama in Murree, you married the wife of the actor in that drama,” Bhatti asked.

Khalil dismissed such rumors as baseless speculations.

“Faysal Quraishi is a very good friend of mine and a brilliant actor. When Faysal auditioned for just five scenes, his exceptional acting stunned me, and I strongly advocated for his selection,” he shared.

Addressing the allegations surrounding his second marriage, Khalil said, “The story of my marriage to Faysal Quraishi’s ex-wife is entirely different. I cannot go into details here, but I can confirm that I was not the reason for their separation.”

Khalil further explained that he even tried to convince Faysal to reconcile with Rozina, advising him not to let their marriage fall apart. He revealed that Faysal's mother told him, “Even with your intervention, this marriage may last for another six months, but it will eventually end.”

“What kind of wealthy man was I that a woman would leave her husband for me?” Khalil remarked, emphasising that the divorce was not caused by his involvement.

He recited the Shahadah to reaffirm his statement, asserting that he had no role in their separation.
