Pakistani men visit Dubai beaches just to stare at women: Nadia Hussain

Renowned actor Nadia Hussain shared her experience at Dubai's popular Jumeirah Beach, where she observed Pakistani men seemingly focused on watching women at the seaside.

Nadia Khan recently appeared on a podcast, where she recounted the incident during her visit to the beach, saying, “I saw Pakistani men wearing shalwar kameez and joggers, sitting under the trees at the beach, just staring at women.”

She continued, “I am sure they were there just to stare at women.”

During the discussion, she addressed the challenges women face in seeking justice for the harassment they endure daily, emphasising that harassment can take many forms.

She noted, “Men may harass women in Pakistan, but abroad, while they might refrain from actual harassment, they still fixate on them.”

Nadia described how, during her recent visit to Dubai, she personally witnessed Pakistani men staring at women of all ages in swimsuits at the beach.

“Though they can stare at women there, they wouldn’t dare do more. But if they were in Pakistan, they wouldn’t hesitate to harass women dressed like that,” she said. 

Nadia maintained that harassment of women has long been a problem in society, but there has been a noticeable rise in cases being reported to authorities.

She also welcomed the growing awareness, noting it’s encouraging that more people are openly addressing such issues in society.
