Crocodile attacks woman washing clothes in Sukkur’s Nara Canal

A woman was critically injured in Sukkur when a crocodile attacked her while she was washing clothes in the Nara Canal at RD-115, clamping its powerful jaws onto her leg and dragging her into the water.
The victim, identified as 30-year-old Kariman Bibi, was rushed to hospital in serious condition.
According to police, the reptile seized her suddenly and attempted to pull her into deeper water.
Her husband, Hub-e-Ali, told reporters that the attack happened without warning.

“I immediately jumped into the canal,” he said. “I managed to pull her out unconscious and badly injured, and rushed her to the nearest hospital for treatment.”
Local residents remain on edge, as the crocodile is reportedly still lurking near the canal bank, prompting calls for urgent action to ensure public safety.
