"Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a hypocrite,” says Sahir Ali Bagga

With music maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan already embroiled in controversies, his name has surfaced in the headlines again after fellow vocalist Sahir Ali Bagga called him a "hypocrite."

The musical duo had been working together for many years. Sahir Ali Bagga has also composed several hit songs for the legendary qawwali artist but their relationship appears to have hit a sour note.

The ‘Dhola’ singer recently took to social media with a scathing critique aimed at his longtime friend.

Taking to Instagram, he stated in his social media post, "Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is not only a cruel person, but he is also a hypocrite"

"May God’s curse be upon the hypocrite," his Instagram story read. 

Bagga's post prompted a wave of online discussion about the possible reasons for the singers' falling out while others argued against airing such harsh criticism publicly.

Later, Sahir Ali Bagga deleted the post from his social media account, but the screenshot of his post continued to make rounds on various social media pages.
