Renowned vlogger Rajab Butt has responded after being issued a notice by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) over allegations of sharing ‘blasphemous’ content on social media.
In an Instagram story shared on Monday, Butt posted a photo of himself and advised his followers that if they aspire to gain fame, they should pursue it abroad rather than in Pakistan.
“Don't pursue fame in Pakistan; go abroad instead,” he wrote.
The statement came after Butt was summoned by the NCCIA in connection with a complaint accusing him of making blasphemous remarks online.

The YouTuber had been directed to appear and present arguments in his defence. Failure to do so would be taken as an inability to justify his position.
The controversy stems from Butt’s recent vlogs during the Islamic month of Muharram, which drew backlash from several religious groups. He has been accused of making derogatory remarks about the companions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), a charge that has sparked outrage on social media.
