Security staff slaps BJP leader Kangana Ranaut at airport

Bollywood actress and newly-elected Member Parliament (MP) Kangana Ranaut was slapped by security personnel at the airport, Indian media reported on Thursday.
Indian media reports said the Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader was attacked by a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) female costable at Chandigarh airport for allegedly disrespecting farmers.
According to Indian media, the incident took place when she was aboarding flight to Delhi.
Local publications said Kangana's statement about women in Punjab during the farmers' protest was believed to be the reason behind the slap.

Indian actress filed a complaint with CISF Director General Nina Singh after arriving Delhi.
The constable, Kulwinder Kaur, was arrested by the Indian police and was taken to the CISF Commandant office for investigation.
In the six-week-long polling in India, Ranaut grabbed 537,022 votes in her first election as a politician.
