Shahid Afridi announces birth of granddaughter ‘Ayra’

Cricket legend Shahid Afridi took to Instagram to announce that his eldest daughter Aqsa Afridi and her husband Naseer Nasir were blessed with a baby girl. 

The proud grandfather revealed that the baby girl was named Ayra.

“Daughters are the purest reflection of His mercy and the most precious blessing. Keep us in your prayers,” his heartwarming post read.

Afridi's fans flooded the comment section with congratulations and well wishes on the joyous occasion. 

Aqsa Afridi and Naseer Nasir were married in a Nikah ceremony in December 2022, followed by a Rukhsati ceremony in July 2023.

Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi and his wife, Ansha Afridi, were blessed with a baby boy on on August 24, whom they named Ali Yar.

According to reports, the pace ace received the joyous news from his family during a phone call while he was en route to Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Shaheen Afridi married Ansha Afridi, the daughter of former captain Shahid Afridi, on February 3, 2023.
