Waseem Badami awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz

Renowned Pakistani television host and journalist Waseem Badami has been conferred with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, one of the country’s highest civilian honours, in recognition of his outstanding services in the field of journalism and media.
The award was received by Waseem Badami's father as the anchorperson is currently ill due to dengue fever.
Badami, known for his unique interviewing style, incisive questioning, and popular current affairs show 11th Hour, has built a reputation as one of Pakistan’s most credible and engaging broadcast personalities.
Over the years, he has covered significant political, social, and humanitarian issues, earning respect both from the public and his peers in the media industry.
The award ceremony, attended by top government officials, dignitaries, and media representatives, highlighted Badami’s professional achievements and his contributions to promoting ethical journalism.
Earlier, President Asif Ali Zardari presented Pakistan’s highest civil and military awards to leading political figures, senior military officers, and diplomats in a ceremony at the President House.
Several senior political leaders received Nishan-e-Imtiaz, one of Pakistan’s top civilian awards. Recipients included Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Atta Tarar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, and Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
