At least six people were killed and several others injured in a clash between two tribes in Balochistan's Qila Abdullah district on Monday, the local administration confirmed.

According to the Deputy Commissioner, the violent confrontation occurred in the Tot Adda area for reasons yet to be determined.

The clash left six dead and at least 14 injured, spreading panic throughout the busy locality and leading to the closure of nearby markets.

Authorities have since brought the situation under control. Levies' personnel and local administration representatives quickly cordoned off the area and shifted the victims to nearby hospitals.

The Deputy Commissioner condemned the use of heavy weaponry by both sides, adding that Frontier Corps (FC) forces were called in to stabilise the situation. Levies' personnel also intensified patrols in the affected area.

The district administration later stated that a jirga of tribal elders, with the support of the Deputy Commissioner, helped mediate peace between the two rival groups. As a result, the area has been cleared of armed individuals.

Officials confirmed that the deceased belonged to the Badwan and Orakzai tribes. Security forces, including Levies and FC, have taken control of Tot Adda, while the 14 injured have been transferred to hospitals in Qila Abdullah, Pishin, and Quetta for treatment.
