CDF Asim Munir meets Pakistan Under-19 team after Asia Cup triumph over India

Chief of Defence Forces and Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has met the Pakistan Under-19 cricket team at General Headquarters following their victory over India in the Under-19 Asia Cup final, describing the achievement as a source of pride for the entire nation.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting took place at GHQ, where the army chief congratulated the players, team management and officials on winning the tournament.

Field Marshal Asim Munir praised the team’s discipline, unity and fearless performance, and urged the young players to continue striving for consistent high standards.

He said the success reflected positively on the country and encouraged the players to maintain professionalism, adding that they should act as ambassadors of Pakistan both on and off the field.

The army chief also remarked that the youth of Pakistan are the foundation of the nation’s future, stating that their energy, talent and character will shape the country’s progress and international standing.

According to ISPR, members of the Pakistan Under-19 team thanked Field Marshal Asim Munir for his encouragement and support, saying that the recognition had further motivated them to work harder and improve their performance.

It may be noted that Pakistan defeated India in the final of U-19 Asia Cup in Dubai on Sunday.
