Cellular data services partially suspended in Karachi

Amidst Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) protest against the prolonged incarceration of former prime minister Imran Khan's, the authorities have suspended internet services in several parts of Karachi.
“Residents in Karachi are facing difficulties in using mobile phone and cellular data services,” said the sources, adding, “Videos and audio on different applications are not downloading, creating hurdles in transferring messages.”
According to the media reports, virtual private network (VPN) services were also suspended.
Earlier, the interior ministry spokesperson suggested suspending mobile phone and internet services in the metropolis due to security concerns.
“Service will remain not suspended in the other part of the country,” he stated.
Apart from this, users in Islamabad are also facing partial disruptions in internet services, while services were not suspended in neighbouring Rawalpindi.
The administration has also sealed the entrance and exit routes of the federal capital and deployed a heavy contingent of Rangers, police, and FC.
slamabad users are experiencing partial internet disruptions, while cellular services in Rawalpindi remain unaffected.
On November 13, former premier Imran Khan called on his party workers and supporters to march to Islamabad on November 24.
