The Pakistani military leadership on Tuesday voiced serious concerns over the use of Afghan territory by terrorist groups and called for "concrete and tangible actions" from Afghanistan's interim government.

The statement was made during the 267th Corps Commanders’ Conference at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, chaired by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the forum stressed the need for the Afghan government to take decisive action against terrorist elements rather than issuing denials.

The meeting followed a recent terrorist attack in Balochistan’s Kalat district, where 18 Pakistani soldiers lost their lives while preventing militants from establishing roadblocks. Security forces killed 23 terrorists in subsequent operations, ISPR said.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Gen Munir later visited Quetta to meet security personnel receiving treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

The conference participants paid tribute to the sacrifices of armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians in the fight against terrorism.

The military leadership also discussed security along the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary. In light of Kashmir Solidarity Day, the forum condemned alleged human rights violations in Indian-administered Kashmir and reaffirmed support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination under UN resolutions.

Additionally, the forum criticized recent statements from the Indian military leadership, calling them "reckless and provocative" and a threat to regional stability.

COAS Munir remarked that such remarks reflected internal challenges within India and warned that any aggression against Pakistan would be met with a resolute response.

The conference concluded with a commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and security while countering external threats with the support of the nation.
