Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, stated that despite multiple court orders, her brother has been “isolated,” claiming that the “courts are helpless.” She also accused the jail authorities of contempt of court.

Following complaints from party members about being prevented from meeting the PTI founder in Adiala Jail, Aleema Khan took to X to express her frustration after being denied access to her brother, who she said "has been illegally imprisoned for nearly two years now."

She stated that not only party members but also Imran Khan’s sons have been hindered from contacting him, claiming he has been deprived of his legal rights by being denied access to “books and weekly phone calls with his sons.”

Aleema declared that these restrictions violated court orders, stating, “The courts are helpless. Despite several court orders, the jail authorities pay no heed to the judges.”

Expressing disappointment over the behaviour of the Adiala Jail authorities, she noted that the party had already provided lists of friends, family, and counsel as instructed by the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, yet their “access” to the former prime minister had been “blocked” for at least five months.

“The jail authorities seem to be under no obligation to comply with court orders,” she remarked.

“They have isolated the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, from all the people whom he wishes to meet,” Aleema Khan wrote while appealing for supporters to “show solidarity with Imran Khan.”

She advised party leaders, workers, and supporters 'not to normalise his imprisonment.'

Additionally, she shared two requests for party workers, saying, "Anyone not on the list approved by Imran Khan should not go to Adiala Jail, and "All critical decisions for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government should be put on hold until Imran Khan is released."

Earlier, Aleema Khan revealed that her brother was offered the option to leave the country or remain silent for two years.
