DG Nadra sacked over fake MBA degree

Chairman National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) Lt Gen Muhammad Munir Afsar dismissed Director General Zulfiqar Ahmed from his job following the revelation of his fake degree from an American university.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) conducted an inquiry in which the information obtained by Nadra was verified.

Following the probe, the HEC discovered that the person who signed Nadra Director General Zulfiqar Ahmed’s MBA degree was not the president of George Mason University, USA at that time

Meanwhile, the name of the college given in the BBA degree was actually something else at the time of issuance of the degree.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) upheld the Higher Education Commission's decision to revoke the equivalence of Zulfiqar Ahmed's degree.

Chairman Nadra Lt Gen Muhammad Munir Afsar took disciplinary action after the High Court’s decision.  As per reports, Zulfiqar Ahmed could not give a satisfactory reply to Nadra’s show cause notice, and he was ultimately sacked from his job.
