The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, along with zonal committees, will convene on the evening of Sunday, March 30, 2025 (Ramazan 29, 1446 A.H.), to observe the Shawwal moon and determine the date for Eidul Fitr in Pakistan.
The main meeting will take place at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, where religious scholars, meteorologists, and other officials will assess moon sighting reports from across the country.

Scientific forecasts by the Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) suggest that the Shawwal crescent is expected to be visible on March 30, making Eidul Fitr likely on March 31.
However, the final decision will be based on verified testimonies, as moon sighting by the naked eye remains a religious requirement in Pakistan.
The committee’s announcement will officially confirm the end of Ramadan and the start of Eidul Fitr celebrations.
