Feels-like temperature in Karachi reaches 43°C

The city of Karachi is once again engulfed in hot and humid weather, with the heat intensity feeling as high as 43 degrees Celsius.
According to meteorological analyst Jawad Memon, monsoon winds are expected to enter most parts of the country starting today, with thunderstorms and rain anticipated in several regions from now until July 21.
Memon stated that between July 17 and 19, rain is expected in the northern and eastern regions of Balochistan. Additionally, areas including Karachi, Thatta, Badin, Sajawal, Hyderabad, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Jacobabad, and Sukkur may also experience rain on July 18 and 19.
Forecasting for Karachi, Memon mentioned that the temperature in the city is expected to reach 38 or 39 degrees Celsius today and tomorrow, with the heat intensity possibly feeling like 43 degrees or higher.
He added that from today until July 18, thunderclouds could form in the northern, northeastern, and northwestern parts of Karachi. Moist winds coming from the Arabian Sea may lead to cloud formation in the afternoon. Light to moderate rain is expected in areas around Gadap, Superhighway, Malir, Surjani, and Gulshan-e-Maymar until July 18.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department reports that Karachi is currently experiencing hot and humid weather. As of noon, the temperature was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius, with the heat intensity feeling like 43 degrees Celsius. The humidity level is at 50 percent, and sea breezes are blowing at a speed of 18 kilometers per hour.
This hot and humid spell has heightened concerns among residents, urging them to take necessary precautions to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the heat. The weather forecast indicates a potential respite with the upcoming monsoon rains, which are expected to bring some relief to the city's scorching conditions.
