The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing has initiated an investigation into a threatening social media post allegedly made from the official account of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
A specialized four-member team has been assembled under the supervision of senior FIA officers, who have traveled to Adiala Jail to question Khan regarding the post.
Federal Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, confirmed that the FIA is looking into the post, which allegedly contains anti-state remarks.
According to Tarar, the post targeted key institutions, including the military and judiciary, raising concerns about national integrity. The investigation aims to uncover the source and management of the social media account responsible for the post.
Imran Khan, Pakistan's former Prime Minister, remains incarcerated at Adiala Jail, where the FIA team will conduct its inquiry.
The case marks a significant moment as authorities investigate the alleged dissemination of content deemed harmful to the state.
