A fire broke out at a chemical warehouse near Walika Chowrangi in Karachi’s SITE Area.

According to authorities, Site Area police and fire fighting team rushed to the location as soon as the incident was reported. The efforts to contain the fire began immediately after. Four fire brigades were deployed at the site, while officers secured the surrounding area to prevent further risk.

No casualties or injuries had been reported until now, and officials said an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

The incident comes a day after another fire broke out in bushes within the University of Karachi campus, where flames spread rapidly due to dry vegetation and strong winds. Rescue teams and firefighters responded quickly after receiving the alert.

Chief Fire Officer Humayun Khan said firefighters managed to control the campus blaze after about two hours of intensive work using six fire tenders, successfully preventing it from spreading toward nearby residential areas.

No casualties were reported in university-area fire. Meanwhile, authorities have urged industrial operators and institutions to follow fire-safety protocols, claiming that dry weather, combustible materials, and wind can significantly intensify such incidents if precautionary measures are not taken.
