A terrorist attack on a security forces’ camp in North Waziristan was successfully foiled, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday.

During the exchange of fire, four brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom, while an explosion caused by explosive material injured 15 innocent civilians, including women and children.

The blast also damaged a mosque and nearby houses.

ISPR stated that terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy group Fitna al-Khawarij carried out a cowardly and brutal attack on a security forces’ camp in the Boya area of North Waziristan.

The attackers attempted to breach the camp’s perimeter security, but their nefarious plans were thwarted due to the timely and effective response of the security forces.

After failing to penetrate the camp, the terrorists rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the outer wall of the camp, causing damage to the wall and impacting the nearby civilian area and a mosque.

According to ISPR, as a result of this terrorist act, 15 civilians, including women and children, were injured, and several houses sustained damage.

The military spokesperson described the act as blatant brutality and a serious crime against humanity.

ISPR further said that the security forces demonstrated exceptional courage, professionalism, and bravery in a strong retaliatory operation, killing all four terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy Fitna al-Khawarij.

However, during the intense exchange of fire, four valiant soldiers of the Pakistan Army laid down their lives in the line of duty.
