In an effort to improve the health and well-being of children in Karachi, Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori has launched free breakfast and medical checkup services in schools.

The initiative, launched on Wednesday, aims to provide good nutrition to students in government schools.

Addressing the launch ceremony, Tessori noted that many children are unable to have breakfast due to their parents' low income and rising inflation in Pakistan.

In the first phase, the initiative will facilitate 100 government school students and will be extended across Sindh phase-wise.

Federal Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui praised Tessori for his proactive approach to welfare, saying that "these ongoing efforts would help eliminate child labour and poverty and would allow children to focus on education".

He also expressed gratitude to Governor Sindh for supporting the federal government's educational emergency initiative in Sindh.
