Minister of State for Law and Justice, Barrister Aqeel Malik, has said that if former PTI chairman Imran Khan’s sons, Qasim Khan and Suleman Khan, wish to visit Pakistan, the government will welcome them.
Speaking on a programme Center Stage, Barrister Aqeel Malik stated that the government has no intention of creating any obstacles to the arrival of Imran Khan’s sons in Pakistan and will also not place any restrictions on their meeting arrangements.
He added that Imran Khan’s sons should have visited Pakistan two years ago, but they did not do so.
Referring to their recent interview, he said that they claimed to have applied for Pakistani visas.
However, he stressed that the government had already offered to issue visas within 24 hours, and no contact was made by them at that time.
Barrister Aqeel Malik remarked that if they do not wish to visit their father, that is their choice, but they should refrain from making false claims.
Responding to another question, the Minister of State said that the government will implement the Islamabad High Court’s decision regarding Justice Tariq Jahangiri.
