How to register for CM Punjab's laptop scheme

The Punjab government has unveiled the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025, promising free laptops to 50,000 deserving students across the province.

Announced a few months ago, the initiative aims to support students in furthering their education and research. The scheme will provide the latest 13th-generation laptops with Core i7 processors to eligible candidates.

Who are eligible?

The laptops will be allocated to students in a range of fields, including computer science, medicine, engineering, agriculture, business, and social sciences.

A total of 20,000 laptops will go to university students, 14,000 to college students, 4,000 to technical and agricultural college students, and 2,000 to medical and dental students.

Additionally, 2,000 laptops will be reserved for minority students. A significant portion, 32%, will be allocated to students from South Punjab.

How to register?

Unlike previous programs, the registration process for the scheme will not be conducted online.

Educational institutions will collect the data of eligible students, which will then be verified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Punjab.

The list of selected students will be released by the HEC.

Laptop distribution is expected to begin after Ramadan 2025, with ceremonies scheduled across various locations to distribute the devices as part of the Honhaar Scholarship Program.
