Hungry Sambar deer crosses border into Pakistan from India

A sambar deer, driven by hunger, crossed the border from India into Pakistan, entering a residential area near Narang Mandi.
The deer was caught by locals who immediately informed wildlife officials. Junaid Alam, Assistant Director of Wildlife Sheikhupura, confirmed that a rescue team was promptly sent to the scene.
On the previous day, a nilgai was rescued after crossing into Pakistan from India near Gundasinghwala in Kasur. The animal had been severely wounded by wild dogs but was transported to Changa Manga for recovery.
Additionally, wildlife officials in Punjab discovered 10 crates filled with live quails during a search of a passenger bus traveling from Sindh to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Taunsa Sharif.
Authorities have taken legal action in response to the smuggling incident.
