Imran Khan 'joins' FIA investigation into X post on Mujibur Rahman

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) conducted an investigation involving Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), concerning an alleged anti-state video posted from his X (formerly Twitter) account. This inquiry took place at Adiala Jail, where the former prime minister is currently incarcerated.

Imran Khan initially refused to participate in the investigation multiple times but eventually agreed to cooperate on the condition that his lawyers be present.

According to sources within the jail, this was the FIA team's third visit to Adiala Jail to question the PTI founder about the contentious video. During the interrogation, the team presented the video to Imran Khan, asking him about its content and origin.

The interrogation lasted for an hour, during which the FIA team posed 16 questions to Imran Khan, according to sources.

The FIA team included Additional Director Ayaz Ahmed and Sub-Inspector Munib, as reported by the sources.

Imran Khan's legal team, consisting of Chaudhry Zaheer Abbas and Intizar Panjotha, was present during the interrogation. Sources indicate that Khan adhered to his previous stance, answering the FIA's questions only in the presence of his lawyers.

This investigation follows previous declarations by the PTI founder, who has denied any involvement in anti-state activities and insisted on having legal representation during such inquiries. The repeated visits by the FIA team underscore the gravity of the allegations and the ongoing efforts to uncover the truth behind the video.

During the FIA's prior visits, Imran Khan had refused to participate in the investigation, maintaining that he would only respond in the presence of his lawyers.
