Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan marked his 72nd birthday today, October 5, behind bars at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
Despite his incarceration, Khan's supporters gathered at D-Chowk in Islamabad to celebrate his birthday and protest for his release.
The former prime minister has been imprisoned for one year on several charges. His detention has sparked widespread demonstrations and calls for his freedom from his party loyalists.
Defying the authorities, hundreds of PTI workers and supporters converged on D-Chowk, chanting slogans and holding banners demanding Khan's immediate release.

The gathering turned into a makeshift birthday celebration, with supporters cutting cakes, singing songs, and offering prayers for Khan's well-being amid a crackdown and tear gas shelling by the federal police.
PTI leaders addressed the crowd, reiterating their resolve to secure Khan's release and continue his mission for a "Naya Pakistan."
As Khan spends his birthday in jail, his supporters vowed to keep his spirit unbroken, ensuring his message of change and reform resonates across the nation.
The PTI has also announced plans for nationwide protests and rallies in the coming days, escalating pressure on the government to release their leader.
