"Imran Khan will be released from jail in April," claims Latif Khosa

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Latif Khosa claimed that party founder Imran Khan, who is serving sentences at Adiala jail in several cases, will be released from prison in April this month.

“I am saying this for sure that the PTI founder will be released in April,” Imran Khan's lawyer said while talking to a private news channel.

Earlier, several party leaders, including PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Sher Afzal Khan Marwat and Ali Muhammad Khan, have also claimed that the former prime minister would be able to walk free from prison very soon.

When asked about making any deal to release Imran Khan, Khosa said it would be "unjustified to call the release a part of any deal".

In March, the incarcerated PTI founder also predicted that he will be freed from Adiala jail in the next four to five months.

Earlier in January, an accountability court sentenced the former prime minister and his spouse to 14 years in prison with rigorous punishment in the Toshakhana reference.

Later this month, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) suspended the couple's convictions in the Toshakhana case.
