Sindh’s Energy, Planning, and Development Minister, Nasir Hussain Shah, has firmly dismissed recent rumours suggesting the potential replacement of Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

Speaking at an event in Karachi on Thursday, Shah addressed the speculation, calling the reports "baseless" and reaffirmed that Murad Ali Shah will remain in his role as Chief Minister until 2029.

Shah’s statement comes amid growing political chatter about leadership changes in the province. He sought to reassure the public, stating, "The news regarding the change of Chief Minister Sindh is baseless. Murad Ali Shah will remain the Chief Minister of Sindh until 2029."

In addition to political matters, Shah outlined ongoing efforts by the provincial government to tackle energy challenges in Sindh, particularly focusing on providing affordable electricity.

He also assured the public that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has committed to resolving issues like gas load shedding and supply disruptions.

Shah highlighted improvements being made in Karachi, particularly in the city’s road infrastructure. "We are working to improve the situation in Karachi, and there has been progress. We are striving for further improvements," he added.

He also mentioned the ambitious plan to construct a motorway connecting Karachi to Sukkur, a project he hopes will be included in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).

Despite the political speculation, Minister Shah’s comments seem to signal a clear message of continuity in leadership and commitment to infrastructural development in Sindh.
