The police in Lahore returned a lost bag containing two tola gold and Rs200,000 cash to the newly-wed couple.

According to police, the couple forgot their bag in a taxi they booked to get back to their home after wedding ceremony.

Upon reaching home, they noticed that the Salami bag was missing, which they recalled they had forgotten to pick up from the taxi.

The groom, Tayyab, then filed a complaint with Cantt police station in which he said that the missing bag contained two tola gold jewellery, Rs200,000 in cash and a heavy bridal dress.

Following the complaint, SP Cant Owais Shafiq formed a special team to trace the taxi driver and the vehicle immediately.

Within a few hours, SHO Mustafaabad and his team found the whereabouts of the vehicle and its driver.

The law enforcement agency further said that the bag was then returned to its rightful owners.
