Maryam Nawaz greenlights 'Air Punjab' with plans to lease four aircraft

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the establishment of Pakistan’s first provincial airline, 'Air Punjab.'
During a meeting with Member of Provincial Assembly Nausher Khan Laghriyal, the Chief Minister confirmed that the initiative has been given a green light, with immediate plans to lease four aircraft to launch operations.
Maryam Nawaz also directed authorities to ensure that 'Air Punjab' becomes one of the best airlines in the country, emphasising high standards of service and efficiency.
In addition to the aviation development, she reaffirmed her commitment to providing free medicines to patients across Punjab, stating that this promise would be fulfilled at all costs.
She noted that the government’s effective initiatives are paving the way for the prosperity and progress of farmers in the province.
The decision marks a significant step in expanding provincial infrastructure and services, aiming to boost both economic and transport sectors in Punjab.
