Renowned legal expert and senior advocate Naeem Bokhari has launched a scathing critique of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, questioning his leadership decisions and involvement in key controversies during his tenure as prime minister.

In remarks aired on a local news channel, Bokhari voiced strong disapproval of Khan's role in the Al-Qadir Trust case, stating, “He shouldn’t have even touched the land linked to Al-Qadir Trust.

” The case has been at the centre of public and legal scrutiny, involving alleged misuse of authority and irregularities in charitable trust affairs.

Bokhari also questioned Khan’s judgement in appointing key advisors, expressing disbelief over his choices. “He is not a good judge of character. How could he choose people like Fawad Chaudhry and Babar Awan as his advisors?” he remarked.

Turning his attention to the Toshakhana gifts scandal, Bokhari criticized Khan’s handling of state gifts, emphasizing the legal and ethical responsibilities of public office.

“How can you take possession of anything that belongs to the state? Even a ball pen or pencil given as a gift is considered state property,” he stated.

Bokhari further noted a shift in Khan’s personality, suggesting the former premier had become increasingly superstitious. “He would say things like, ‘Today is not a good day,’ which is not a sign of sound leadership,” Bokhari observed.
