As the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) caravans are heading to Islamabad, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi allowed Islamabad police to use power against 'violations' of law and order in the federal capital.
Addressing police personnel late at night in Islamabad, Minister Naqvi directed them, “Don’t leave anyone who comes to Islamabad, arrest them.”
He said Pakistan is set to welcome Belarus’ head of state, Aleksandr Grigorievich, on November 25, and his delegation will reach Islamabad on November 24, and the security breach will not be tolerated.
While allowing the use of tear gas by the forces, Naqvi directed them to be fully equipped against the protesters and ensure their security as well by wearing anti-riot kits.
