Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has extended his stay in London due to ongoing medical examinations, according to party sources.
Sharif, who arrived in London from Belarus earlier this month for a two-week visit, has postponed his return to Pakistan as doctors continue to assess his health condition.
The decision was made after consultations with foreign physicians overseeing his routine medical check-ups.
Sources within the party also revealed that the PML-N’s UK chapter is planning to organise a workers' convention in Nawaz Sharif's honour during his extended stay.
The former premier landed at Luton Airport on April 12, where he was received by PML-N UK leaders including Ahsan Dar.
Ahead of his arrival, a verbal clash broke out between supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and PML-N outside the Park Lane flats. Despite the brief altercation, a significant number of PML-N supporters turned up to welcome their party leader.
